English HL – Literature project – Grade 5

This literature project is about the legend, The Flying Dutchman. It has three sections:

• Section A: Research (10 marks)
• Section B: Writing (30 marks)
• Section C: Oral presentation (20 marks)

This project is research based and learners will have to do thorough research on the legend  –  how it came about, earliest sightings and eyewitness accounts, etc. It comes with  memo and all rubrics are included. For the oral presentations learners will be required to do a performance – they will be aboard a ship and witnessing the Flying Dutchman. They must perform this eyewitness account in class.
